HONESTY AND JUSTICE

The concepts of honesty and justice are intertwined concepts, and honesty is directly related to justice. “Integrity; the state of being true and honest, acting in accordance with what is right, honesty.” “Justice is defined as giving everyone what is appropriate for them, what is their right, and righteousness.” As ERA Colleges, we aim to raise awareness of these concepts and reinforce these concepts through various events throughout May.

The concepts of honesty and justice, like many other concepts and feelings, should be instilled in the child from the family. The family should be a role model for children, and the foundation of these concepts should be laid in the family. Every member of the family should be honest and fair not only in words but also in essence. To be fair, the same principles should apply to every member of the family. In this way, injustice between family members is prevented, and in general, it is ensured that every individual in the society receives the reward of their labor. However, the importance of honesty within the family should be emphasized in order to inspire trust and be accepted by others. It should be emphasized that the truth must be told, regardless of the consequences, and that we must take responsibility for our actions in every way.

Individual; First of all, he/she should be able to understand what the concepts of honesty and justice are, which he/she learned and observed from his/her family, and should be able to distinguish what honest behaviors are and choose honesty. A person should also observe justice and justice in his feelings, thoughts and behaviors everywhere and in every situation.

Our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy; In this stanza, he says that his words should be in accordance with the truth, as he lives it, and emphasizes honesty, in his own words, "The Profession of Honesty".

                As Mahatma Ghandi said, "It is better to act justly and be alone, rather than to commit injustice and have all people follow you." Let's be honest and act honestly, all together, always and everywhere, regardless of the consequences. Let this situation leave us alone, but not humiliate others or make us question our conscience.
