18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs Commemoration Ceremony

It is the spirit of Çanakkale that enabled the National Struggle to be won.

Mustafa Kemal's vision and the courage of the Turkish soldiers were effective in the Çanakkale Victory won on March 18, 1915.

Today, as we celebrate the 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, the whole world has seen that Çanakkale is impassable and witnessed the epic struggle of our nation, kneaded with determination and love for the homeland.

Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK said, "I do not order you to attack, I order you to die." We bow with respect to the spiritual presence of our immortal heroes who were martyred in this war of life and death.

As the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said,
"The Çanakkale Victory is a worthy example of astonishment and congratulations that shows the spiritual strength of the Turkish soldier. You should be sure that it is this high spirit that won the Battle of Çanakkale."
